Pricing Coordinator

Pay starting at $15.00 an hour.
Full-time Monday through Saturday with Sunday and another day during the week off.

Job Summary:

To provide and maintain high standards of pricing integrity in the registers as well as throughout the whole store.  Keep the pricing accurate and understandable to all customers.

Essential Job Functions:
  1. Review sales floor to check pricing of specials and document in the price exception log.
  2. Check signs of pre-priced items, super low priced items, and other specials.
  3. Check and investigate prior days scan right guarantee log.
  4. Verify all items brought in by vendors during the day by scanning the product.
  5. Enter new items into file and pull through the PC as needed.
  6. Check for any price updates from the main office, verify and change as needed.
  7. Establish and maintain a price change program to maximize profits (all ups on Saturday, downs on Monday).
  8. Prepare and maintain a weekly scan right policy that minimizes losses from inaccurate pricing.
  9. Perform scan audits according to a schedule that provides for timely total store audits.
  10. Establish a program to maintain pricing integrity in the transition of all hot sheet or survey specials.
  11. Check dates on all super low price tags to determine the accuracy of prices.
  12. Distribute discontinued sheets and upcoming specials to appropriate personnel.
  13. Establish and maintain an in store policy that promotes communication between grocery clerks and scanning coordinator for a smooth transition of products being delivered.
  14. Enforce a Front End policy with all cashiers to inform management of items not in file.
  15. Conduct in store maintenance on the PC and the NRC registers.
  16. Create a zero movement policy that will keep department files clean.
  17. Represent the store to salespersons and vendors in a positive and professional manner.
  18. Conduct a total sign program that informs customers of our pricing integrity.
  19. Inform management of any possible problem areas in pricing or signs throughout the store.
  20. Maintain a neat personal appearance according to company’s dress code policy.
  21. Greet customers and be observant.

Supplemental Job Functions:
  1. Assist in office as needed.

Minimum Knowledge, Skill and Abilities Required:
  1. Must be computer literate.
  2. Must have strong analytical and organizing skills in order to analyze total scanning program, and properly maintain necessary reports and schedules.
  3. Strong communication skills for dealing with all departments.

Working Conditions:

Minimum exposure to hazardous chemicals.  Hazards are limited when established safety procedures are followed.

Loss Prevention Associate
$13.00-$15.00 an hour
5pm-10pm, 2-3 days a week                                                           

Job Summary:

The duty of a loss prevention associate is to aid a merchant in thwarting theft.  Loss prevention associate works to secure the facility, monitor inventory, and apprehend thieves such as shoplifters.

Essential Job Functions:
  1. Monitor shoppers by walking the store making observations in person and with security cameras.
  2. Respond to employees that might suspect a possible shoplifter.
  3. Must always observe or assist in observing the shoplifter, watch for ditching merchandise.
  4. Call the police or signal Service Counter/Manager to make the call.
  5. Apprehend and detain shoplifter in accordance with store and local law enforcement guidelines.
  6. Approach suspected shoplifter once they pass the point of purchase and ask for receipt.
  7. If they cannot produce a receipt, detain the shoplifter until local law enforcement arrive.
  8. Assist the police by filling out a shoplifting report and no trespassing form.

Supplemental Job Functions:
  1. Monitor, apprehend and detain suspected shoplifters.
  2. Complete shoplifting report and no trespass for law enforcement.
  3. Operate surveillance cameras.
  4. Provide testimony in court if necessary.

Minimum Knowledge, Skill and Abilities Required:
  1. High school education minimum requirement, with college background helpful, but not required.  Experience in loss prevention a preferred.
  2. Quick thinking, common sense judgement, response and follow through is required.
  3. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills for dealing with customers, employees, and law enforcement.
Working Conditions:

Must be in good physical condition, position requires a lot of walking and standing, strong communication skills, ability to learn use of cameras, detail oriented, quick decision making.

Must have a clean police record and pass background investigation.

Meat Manager

Job Type:  Full-time
Salary:  $15.00+ depending on experience

Job Summary:

Direct and manage all functions and activities of Meat Department to achieve sales and profit goals.

Essential Job Functions:
  1. Prepares a weekly schedule based on projected sales, volume and work load.
  2. Along with Store Manager, work out localized merchandising plans for the department.
  3. Follow approved Meat Department plans for effective space management based on movement, consumer demands and profitability.
  4. Oder merchandise and control inventory to minimize out-of-stock and overstocks, and to maximize sales.
  5. Follow approved procedures for receiving products, price marking and restocking cases to ensure quality protection, accuracy and product rotation.
  6. Control department expenses.
  7. Take action to control shrinkage and pilferage losses.
  8. Effectively hires, supervises, trains, schedules, and conducts annual performance reviews on all Meat Department personnel.
  9. Follow planned program of maintenance on cases, coolers, refrigeration and meat department equipment.
  10. ensure favorable department image with customers through a clean, attractive friendly department.
  11. Maintain and submit required records, reports, and monthly inventory.
  12. Observes local conditions and competitive activity relating to the Meat Department and keep others informed.
  13. Maintain good communications in store and throughout the organization.
  14. Observe State Health Regulations.
  15. ensure compliance to company’s Sanitation, Safety and Security Programs.
  16. ensure compliance to local, state and governmental weights and measures, and labeling laws.
  17. Greet all customers and be observant.
  18. Must ensure that all employees follow proper “lock out/tag out” procedure while repairing or cleaning mechanical or electrical equipment
  19. Maintain a neat personal appearance according to the company’s dress code policy.
  20. Receive, weigh and breakdown meats and related products.
  21. Cut and trim all merchandise as directed by company standards.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
  1. High School education minimum required.
  2. Ability to read and write to properly tag merchandise, ordering and maintaining inventory and to ensure proper rotation of products.
  3. Above average analytical skills necessary to study and interpret various reports to keep the department profitable.
  4. Should have at least three years’ experience working in supermarket industry, with at least one year as a meat cutter.
  5. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills for dealing with customers, employees and vendors.

Working Conditions:
  1. Must be able to work long and irregular hours.
  2. Regularly exposed to hazardous conditions associated with the operation of mechanical equipment, and hazardous chemicals.  Hazards are limited when established safety procedures are followed.
  3. Exposure to extreme cold, while handling frozen and refrigerated meat at a minimum of fifty-five percent (55%) over an eight (8) hour schedule, and can go up to a maximum of minus fifteen degrees (-15 o’s) five percent (5%) of the time.

Deli Clerk/Customer Service
$10.10 per hour
Full-time / Part-time

Job Summary:

To wait on customers in the Deli, in a courteous manner and prepare orders to customers satisfaction.

Essential Job Functions:
  1. Slices, cuts, weighs and prices merchandise in a courteous manner and prepares orders to customer satisfaction.
  2. Unload deli merchandise and transport stock to storage area.
  3. Maintain shelves and cases filled at all times.
  4. Control freshness by coding and rotating all products and remove out-of-control merchandise daily.
  5. Price all products legibly and according to price book.
  6. Maintain new items or weekly specials.

This is a full-time position, with either days (6am-2pm) or nights (12pm-8:30pm), 5 days a week.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
  1. Must have strong communications skills for dealing with customers.
  2. Must have math skills for weighing and pricing of products.
  3. Must have dexterity in hands to enable slicing and preparing of deli products.
  4. Must be able to lift up to fifty pounds (50#’s) up to twenty percent (20%) of the time.
